In this course, parents learn to increase the frequency of desirable behaviors in their children and to reduce the likelihood of undesirable behaviors. The purpose of the Parent Training Class at the CDC is to train parents in the use of specific behavior modification techniques to improve the child's behavior and to enhance the quality of parent-child interactions. The class is designed for parents with children ages 3 to 12 years old.
